Mozambique

Economy: The main language is Portuguese but they do speak English, the local currency is Metical nova família; US$1 = Mtc25, they do accept travelers cheques and have AMT’s around every corner.

The Capital is Maputo, and the area is 800,00 sq km. Visa’s range from US$20 to US$70 for 30 days; issued at most border posts

All trains and roads are accessible making it very easy to get to any locations.

While the Europeans were still struggling back in the Dark Ages, the light of the ancient world had already fallen on Mozambique. From the 9th century AD, Mozambique’s coast was part of a chain of civilised merchant kingdoms, visited by ships from as far afield as , Arabia and Persia. They came sailing in on the monsoon winds to buy slaves, ivory, gold and spices. Muslim merchants intermarried with African families, and set up trading posts along the coast.

The ultimate tropical paradise, with incomparably turquoise waters and shoals of colourful fish. Mozambique offers the most wonder surroundings, allowing you to be part of the busy city and escape to paradise after a long week. Enjoy the exciting water sides and dive alongside Manta Rays, see the stunning sand dunes.

The great thing about this place is the seasons, it will make you feel right at home. Dry (May to November), wet (December to April).
